This event is in the past.
Following the conclusion of judging and tallying of results from the TRASH XXVIII Homebrew Competition, please join us at Helicon Brewing for a celebration as we announce the winners! Medals and prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place of every flight as well as the winners of Best of Show, Runner-up Best of Show, and Turtle Creek Award presented by East End Brewing Company. (Details of these awards are available on the competition web site.) Prizes were donated by the competition's many sponsors. Check out the list of sponsors here.
* If you can't attend, your score sheets and medals will be returned to your bottle drop-off location (or mailed to you if you shipped your entries). Prizes will not be mailed or dropped off; you must attend the awards banquet to recieve any prizes you might win.
The event is free to attend, but we need an accurate headcount for logistics reasons. Please 'purchase' a free ticket here for yourself and all guests no later than Wednesday, April 5th at 9pm.
A note to competition volunteers (judges and stewards): please let us know if you are staying for the awards ceremony after you are done judging/stewarding by 'purchasing' a free ticket here.
There will be no meal provided as part of the celebration this year. There are several restaurants nearby that you can order take-out from to bring to to the event. Moreover, Helicon is close to the Robinson / North Fayette area and its many dining options. We suggest you and your crew grab dinner on your way to Helicon. Competition volunteers will be provided with dinner after judging completes, before the doors open for the awards ceremony.
Schedule of Events:
6:30 PM: Doors open for ceremony attendees to enter the judging area. Buy yourself a Helicon beer, mingle a bit, and settle in for the awards.
