I mispelled the name in the title and can't edit it... it's Kulmbacher Schweizerhof-Brau
I came across a growler of a German beer in an antique store, and I was pleasently surprised to find it still full and never opened. The label reads West Germany, so I have assume it was made at least pre 1990. The rubber seal is dried and a little cracked, though still intact.
I'm having a hard time finding any information on this particular beer, though I'm at least happy to see I paid less for it full than the same growler goes for on Ebay empty.
So the grand dilema... not knowing how this puppy was stored and exactly for how long, is it worth cracking it open to see if it is good or crap, or is there more value to keeping it sealed, prolonging the fun of the mystery that is within?
Does any one know anything about this beer? I contacted the brewery, we'll see if I hear anything.
