Our annual Oktoberfest celebration at Armand & Sue Houle's house had to fall off the calendar this year, unfortunately. But we can still do it up, TRASH style, right?!
We'll be meeting at Helicon Brewing on Sunday, September 25th at 3:00. Full details are here:
http://www.trashhomebrewers.org/item/1070595
There's no meeting fee, but everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite German dish to share. I'm going to grind, stuff, smoke, and beer-simmer some fresh bratwurst. Jess is going make apple fritters. And Malcolm, upon hearing that I'm making brats, committed to fermenting up a big batch of apple sauerkraut to go with 'em. Malcolm is not able to make it to this meeting, so no homemade kraut will be had.
Who's bringing German potato salad? Anyone know how to make spaetzle? Maybe a batch of soft pretzels & mustard. If anyone has the skills to pull off sauerbraten, you win Oktoberst!
Sign up in the comments below and I'll keep this table updates so others can see who's bringing what when deciding what to bring.
Prost!
